Garmin has had a rather busy time of it lately when it comes to the Fenix 8 and associated smartwatches. A week ago, the company issued Beta Version 15.24 for the Enduro 3, Fenix E, Fenix 8 and Tactix 8 (curr. $1,299 on Amazon) with almost 20 tweaks from its most recent beta update.
By our count, that took the total number of changes from the four smartwatches' previous stable update to almost 150. Then just yesterday, Garmin confirmed the changelog for a new stable update, which lacks any of the changes it has been road testing in the last month or so on its Beta Program.
In the midst of all these updates, the company has been spotted dropping hints about possible Enduro 3, Fenix E, Fenix 8 and Tactix 8 refreshes too, full details of which we have covered separately. Now, it has returned to its Beta Program again with another new build that adds another dozen changes.
Consequently, a future v15.xx stable update should now contain at least 167 major changes consisting of 22 new features, 18 refinements and 127 bug fixes. Garmin has kept Aviation, Dive and ECG features disabled on Beta Version 15.25 though, which means that more beta builds are planned before the company switches to a stable release.
According to Garmin's forum post, Enduro 3, Fenix E, Fenix 8 and Tactix 8 owners enrolled on its Beta Program should receive a notification to download Beta Version 15.25 within the next few days as an over-the-air (OTA) update.
