A limited edition Casio G-Shock DW-5600 watch has been revealed in Japan. This model celebrates the 10th anniversary of Mr. Brothers Cut Club, a barbershop chain founded in Tokyo. The watch was launched at an event on April 25th, when 300 units of the watch were sold.
The G-Shock DW-5600X was designed in collaboration with artist Kaz, with a black resin casing and a white pinstripe design on the black resin strap. The Mr. Brothers Cut Club logo can be found above the digital display and on the stainless steel back case. The motif is also shown on the display when you trigger the LED backlight. Plus, the custom packaging was designed by Motofumi "Poggy" Kogi and is said to be inspired by Brosh Pomade.
Like other DW-5600 series watches, the Casio G-Shock x Mr. Brothers Cut Club wearable is expected to be a shock-resistant model, water-resistant to 20 ATM and running on its replaceable battery for around two years. Features should include a 1/100th second stopwatch, a countdown timer, an alarm and hourly flash signals.
More units of the Mr. Brothers Cut Club × G-Shock DW-5600X watch will become available on May 10th, priced at ¥16,500 (~$114) each. The watches are expected to be sold at the brand's barber shops in Japan. While the company also has outlets in Los Angeles, the watch does not appear to be launching in the US.
