Last year’s MagicBook Pro 16 was equipped with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 Laptop GPU, but the slim gaming laptop gets an upgrade to the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU for 2025. Honor has officially confirmed this via numerous teaser images. Judging by these pictures, the design won’t really change and the gaming laptop should still be roughly 0.8 inches thin and weigh just under 4 lbs.
According to Honor, the gaming laptop has a total TDP of 150 watts. Since the GeForce RTX 5070 only uses up to 100 watts, this number should include both the processor and graphics card. The MagicBook Pro 16 is equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 9 CPU, presumably the Core Ultra 9 285H. The manufacturer further advertises a 3K display. For reference, the predecessor featured an 16-inch IPS panel with 3072 x 1920 pixels, 165Hz and 500 nits of brightness.
Honor emphasizes that the MagicBook Pro 16 has an exceptionally quiet cooling system, even though it packs a lot of performance in a pretty thin chassis. However, independent reviews will have to put this to the test in order to show how loud the fans are in real-life usage. That said, we thoroughly reviewed the 2024 MagicBook Pro 16 and found it to be comparatively quiet, unless the high-performance mode was activated. The new Honor MagicBook Pro 16 (2025) will be officially unveiled on Wednesday, April 30th.
