The Honor 400 and 400 Pro have debuted with the 200MP main rear camera heretofore exclusive to the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. Their new prices belie that flagship spec, however, with the vanilla 400 starting at ~$350 and the Pro at ~$470 - or even less with their national subsidies.

The Honor 400 and 400 Pro have achieved an upgrade to a 200MP rear camera in 2025, when even the latest iPhone has not

The spec, also found in the ~$1,170 Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, is combined with less premium specs such as the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 in the vanilla 400 - although the Pro has the ex-flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.

The new smartphones also have 120Hz AMOLED displays (of the updated 6.55-inch mid-sized variety in the 400) with up to 5,000 nits of brightness in the Pro.

Honor has now finally released the 400 and 400 Pro in its native China, both of which have base models with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

They start at 2,499 yuan (~$347) and 3,399 yuan (~$472) respectively, although the buyer could upgrade to double the SKU's internal storage for 300 yuan (~$42) more apiece.

The series also comes with 16GB of RAM, with 512GB of internal storage for the 400 (2,999 yuan (~$419)) and 400 Pro (3,999 yuan (~$556)), with an ultimate 1TB SKU exclusive to the Pro that goes for 4,499 yuan (~$625).

However, all of those prices are subject to a 15% subsidy in China, meaning that the 400 actually starts for 2,124 yuan (~$295), while the 400 Pro does so at 2,899 yuan (~$403).

Meanwhile, the same smartphones were announced from €499 (~$564) and €799 (~$902) elsewhere - furthermore, the 400 and 400 Pro have been unveiled with improved IP68/69-rated durability in China.
