Honor 400 and Honor 400 Pro revealed to have a 7,200mAh battery capacity

While phones with exceptionally large battery capacities have existed for years, they haven't been the norm as the big batteries also added considerable thickness. However, that has changed in recent times with phones now boasting pretty large battery capacities while retaining moderate thickness. The upcoming Honor 400 series is now about to join the list as an official has confirmed the battery capacity of the new phones.

Based on a post shared on Weibo by Lin Lin, the vice president of Honor China, both the Honor 400 and Honor 400 Pro smartphones will have a 7,200mAh battery capacity. This is a huge upgrade from the 5,300mAh battery capacity of the Honor 300 series announced last year.

It is also important to note that this battery capacity is for the Chinese version of the phone. Honor is known for launching its phones with a smaller battery capacity in Europe, so there's a possibility the variants heading to Europe will have a different battery capacity. A perfect example is the Honor Magic 7 Pro (available on Amazon.de for €999.90) which has a European variant with a 5,270mAh battery capacity and a global version with a larger 5,850mAh battery. 

Although, the battery capacity of the new Honor 400 series smartphones is quite impressive, it is still smaller than that of the Honor Power which holds the title of the Honor smartphone with the largest battery capacity. Announced in April 2025, the Honor Power has an 8,000mAh battery capacity which charges at 66W.

While Honor has confirmed the battery capacity of the two smartphones, it hasn't revealed how fast they will charge. Last year's Honor 300 supports 100W fast wired charging while the Honor 300 Pro and Honor 300 Ultra supports both 100W fast wired charging and 80W fast wireless charging.

The Honor 400 series is scheduled to launch on Wednesday, May 28 in China. However, it will be announced first in Europe on May 22.
