Tecno Pova Curve: Tecno’s new affordable 5G smartphone launches with curved display and 5,500 mAh battery
Tecno has introduced its latest, slimmest 5G curved phone, the Pova Curve 5G, in India. The main highlight of the smartphone is its curved screen with a 55° curvature. Dimensionally, the phone measures just 7.5 mm in thickness (0.29 inch) and weighs 188.5 grams (0.41 lbs). It comes with a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display that resolves at 2436 x 1080 pixels with a 144 Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1300 nits.
The panel has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top and is only IP64 certified, which means that it’s not completely waterproof— only dust and splash resistant. For photography, Tecno packs a dual rear camera setup into its budget-range smartphone, featuring a 64 MP 1/1.73-inch Sony IMX682 primary lens and a 2 MP depth sensor.
The Tecno Pova Curve 5G is powered by a 4 nm-based MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultimate processor paired with up to 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, with no room for storage expansion. Software-wise, it runs Android 15-based HiOS 15 out of the box, and the company has promised only one major OS update (Android 16) and two years of security updates.
A 5,500 mAh battery powers the internals and supports 45 W wired charging. Additionally, Tecno also offers TUV Rheinland long-range certification for over 1,800 charging cycles. Furthermore, the 5G-enabled device is packed with several AI features, including multilingual support, AI Auto Answer, AI Voiceprint Noise Suppression, and AI Call Assistant with live translations and post-call summaries.
Other features include an in-display fingerprint sensor, an IR sensor, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, and NFC support.
Available in magic silver, neon cyan, and geek black colorways, the Tecno Pova Curve 5G starts at INR 15,999 ($187.12) for the base 6 GB + 128 GB model, while the top-end 8 GB + 128 GB variant is priced at INR 16,999 ($199). The device will be available via Flipkart starting from 5th June.
