Madhav Sheth is no stranger to the smartphone market. Following high-ranking positions at Realme and Honor, the entrepreneur has now founded his own company, NxtQuantum Shift Technologies, which also develops and markets smartphones. Its first 5G smartphones will be presented on June 25, 2025, as has been officially confirmed. GSMArena has just published the first image of the NxtQuantum AI+ Nova 2 5G, along with details about the hardware.
Accordingly, NxtQuantum will launch three different models on the market, which will initially be sold in India at prices between INR 5,000 and INR 8,000, i.e., between $55 and $90. The smartphones will reportedly have a fast 5G modem, a sustainable design and powerful AI features. To make this possible, NxtQuantum will use refurbished components that both lower costs and reduce the environmental footprint of the smartphones. The Nova series will be delivered with NxtQuantum OS; further details on the operating system are still pending.
The image reveals a smartphone design that could hardly be more ordinary, including a flat back in black and a square camera module that only houses two lenses. One of the lenses is so small that it probably contains a useless 2 MP sensor. The smartphone has 6 GB of RAM, 128 GB of flash storage and dual SIM support. The gigantic "AI+" label and the smaller "Matrix AI Camera" label are not-so-subtle hints that the smartphone supports AI features.
