Honor MagicPad 3 gets a global launch with discounts and free gifts
The Honor MagicPad 3 is now available globally following its launch in China last month. The tablet has received a quiet launch in the UK and is available to buy now. The best part is that it comes with a launch discount and free gifts.
Honor's new tablet shares its specs with the version sold in China with the only difference being the storage capacity. The MagicPad 3 has a massive 13.3-inch LCD panel with a 3200 × 2136 resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. It also has dynamic dimming and DC dimming. While the screen is larger and the refresh rate is higher, many will not appreciate the downgrade to LCD from the OLED panel on the MagicPad 2 (available on Amazon.de for €441.90).
The Honor MagicPad 3 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and it is paired with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The version sold in China has 1TB of storage. The tablet has a 9MP camera on the front for video calls while the back houses a 13MP sensor and a macro camera. There are 8 speakers for clear and crisp spatial audio but no headphone jack.
Honor was able to squeeze a massive 12,450mAh Silicon-Carbon battery into the MagicPad 3's 5.79mm thick aluminum body, and despite the size of the tablet and its battery, it is quite light at 595g. The tablet supports 66W fast wired charging but doesn't come with a charger in the box. The tablet has a 13-layer cooling system that includes a dual-flow vapor chamber for better thermal management.
Honor ships the MagicPad 3 with MagicOS 9 based on Android 15 and it comes with Honor AI such as an AI writing tool, AI summary tool, and AI Magic Pencil which recreates handwritten notes. It also uses AI to filter out background noise when taking meetings and can transcribe speech into text in real-time. MagicOS 9 also allows easy transfer of files between devices including iPhones and iPads. The tablet also has Bluetooth 5.4 and Wi-Fi 7.
The Honor MagicPad 3 is available in a single gray color with a silky finish. It is priced at £599 in the UK but buyers can claim a £100 discount voucher which brings it down to £499. Honor will also give early buyers a free Honor Magic-Pencil 3 stylus (worth £85.99) and Honor MagicPad 3 Smart Touch Keyboard (worth £99).
