The Nubia RedMagic 10S Pro offers many high-end components and large storage capacities for a low starting price of $699. But we'll show you just how affordable it really is by comparing it with alternatives.

The RedMagic 10S Pro is a powerful gaming smartphone with Snapdragon 8 Elite Leading Version, UFS 4.1 storage, LPDDR5T RAM and a 144 Hz AMOLED display (960 Hz sampling rate). It offers narrow display bezels, flush-integrated cameras and two sensor buttons for gaming, but does not feature eSIM, wireless charging or a higher IP certification (only IP54). The optional fan provides little cooling and is audible at up to 44 dB(A). The cameras – including the under-display front camera – deliver only mid-range quality, but videos are possible in up to 8K. With Android 15, RedMagicOS 10.5 and a five-year update guarantee (EU/UK), the software is up to date, but security updates are lagging behind. The 10S Pro is clearly aimed at gamers, but shows weaknesses in everyday use in terms of convenience features, camera quality and heat generation.

The RedMagic 10S Pro (buy here) starts at $699 for the small storage variant and climbs to $999:

  • 12/256 GB: $699
  • 16/512 GB: $849
  • 24/1.024 GB: $999

So far, so good. But what does the competition offer, and what do you get for the same money? Let's compare a few alternatives:

There are a few differences, especially in terms of eSIM, charging speeds and update support, where the smartphones differ greatly. It should be noted that the RedMagic 10S Pro has the weakest cameras in the comparison field. It scores much higher with its design and special gaming features. However, it is difficult to save money with it; rather, the composition of the overall package varies.
