Xiaomi not only equips its 6.83-inch mid-range smartphone, the Poco F7, with a Gorilla Glass 7i cover for the AMOLED panel. The back, available in black, white and silver, also features a glass cover. Combined with the aluminum frame, 1.5-millimeter display bezels on three sides, and IP68 certification, the Poco F7 is both high-quality and robust.
Very long battery life thanks to 6000 mAh battery
At 216 grams, the Poco F7 weighs slightly more than other mid-range smartphones with a similar form factor, but this is primarily due to the large battery. This boasts a capacity of 6000 mAh, resulting in excellent battery life and easily beating the Samsung Galaxy A56 5G, among others. Recharging is quick, as a full charge takes just 42 minutes with the optional 90-watt power adapter.
120 Hz AMOLED with over 3000 nits of brightness
Another highlight of the Poco F7 is its bright AMOLED panel, which can manage a very good luminance of 1637 cd/m² on a full white display. Even many rival smartphones cannot match this.
Furthermore, the Poco F7 scores even better in small image sections (APL18), achieving an excellent 3318 cd/m², making it ideal for outdoor use. HDR results in almost the same peak brightness. The AMOLED panel operates with a high PWM dimming frequency of 3846 Hz, making it suitable for sensitive users.
Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, 12 GB RAM, and up to 512 GB storage
Equipped with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, the Poco F7 delivers performance worthy of a high-end smartphone. Not only does it surpass many comparable devices, but it would have also been one of the fastest Android phones last year.
The Poco F7 offers more than sufficient performance for everyday use. It runs current games smoothly and is fluid thanks to the responsive 120 Hz screen. Xiaomi promises six years of updates and four years of OS upgrades.
Buyers have to make relatively few compromises. The Poco F7 doesn't support eSIMs, the Wi-Fi 7 module doesn't work on 6 GHz Wi-Fi, and there's no full-featured always-on display. The USB-C port remains at USB 2.0 speed, and there's no memory card slot.
