Lenovo has officially started selling two new Xiaoxin-branded tablets in China following an extended teaser period. While the pair's launches do not occur until tomorrow, the Xiaoxin Tablet 12.1 and Xiaoxin Tablet Pro GT can currently be ordered on retailer JD.com slightly ahead of schedule.
On the one hand, the Xiaoxin Tablet 12.1 features a MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset, which Lenovo complements with 8 GB of RAM and a 10,200 mAh battery that supports 45 W charging. Moreover, the device's 12.1-inch display outputs at 2.5K (2,560 x 1,600) with a 90 Hz refresh rate and 800 nits peak brightness that can be adjusted via DC dimming.
According to Lenovo, this hardware is wrapped up in a metal housing that weighs approximately 530 g while being 6.29 mm thick. At launch, the Xiaoxin Tablet 12.1 starts at CNY 1,199 (~$167) with 128 GB of storage. Alternatively, the tablet can be picked up with twice as much storage for CNY 1,399 (~$195).
On the other hand, the Xiaoxin Tablet Pro GT offers significantly more powerful hardware with a starting price of CNY 1,799 (~$250) for its 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage SKU. For instance, Lenovo utilises Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset to match the recent Yoga Tab Plus (curr. $579 on Amazon), as well as an 8,860 mAh silicon carbon battery that supports 68 W wired charging.
The more energy-dense silicon carbon technology allows the Xiaoxin Tablet Pro GT to hit a 5.99 mm profile and 458 g weight too, within which sits an 11.1-inch, 144 Hz and 3,200 x 2,000-pixel display. Unfortunately, it is unclear whether Lenovo plans to offer either of its new tablets globally yet.
