According to reports, Asus will begin selling its ROG Strix Ace XG248QSG gaming monitor with a 610 Hz refresh rate later this month in the US. In the meantime, the monitor has landed in China for a higher-than-expected launch price.

Asus has released plenty of gaming monitors lately, including the ROG Strix OLED XG32UCWMG with a new TrueBlack Glossy coating. Now though, it has brought the ROG Strix Ace XG248QSG to market with an even faster refresh rate than recent 480 Hz options like the ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDP (curr. $999 on Amazon).

While the wait for the 500 Hz-capable ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDPG continues, the ROG Strix Ace XG248QSG ups the ante by hitting 610 Hz across its 24.1-inch TN panel. As we discussed during the monitor's Computex 2025 debut, the ROG Strix Ace XG248QSG outputs at 1,920 x 1,080 pixels with an anti-glare finish and a quoted 90% DCI-P3 colour space coverage. Moreover, the monitor boasts 0.7 ms GtG response times, 170°/ 160° (CR≧10) viewing angles, up to 400 nits peak brightness and VRR technology via AMD FreeSync and Nvidia G-Sync.

On top of that, the ROG Strix Ace XG248QSG has a pair of HDMI 2.1 ports, a single DisplayPort 1.4 (DSC) port and a 3.5 mm jack for connecting external audio equipment. Currently, the ROG Strix Ace XG248QSG retails for CNY 7,999 (~$1,114) in China. Asus has also added the monitor to its global website to indicate that a global release is forthcoming. According to TFT Central, the ROG Strix Ace XG248QSG will reach the US later this month for $799.
