LG has just released a trio of new UltraGear OLED gaming monitors internationally. However, it has now been spotted adding a fourth option to that list in China. To recap, the company launched the UltraGear OLED 34GX900A, 39GX900A and 45GX900A last week under its GX9 series.
Now, it has turned to the UltraGear OLED 27GX700A, roughly a month after revealing the monitor in China. While the UltraGear OLED 27GX700A sits within the GX7 series, it features a newer WOLED panel than any of LG's recent GX9 gaming monitors. Specifically, the UltraGear OLED 27GX700A is the first gaming monitor to ship with a 4th Gen WOLED panel, which contains several advantages over its 3rd Gen WOLED predecessor found in monitors like the UltraGear OLED 27GX790A (curr. $746.99 on Amazon).
As LG clarifies in a Hong Kong product listing, the UltraGear OLED 27GX700A utilises a 4-stack RGB structure to get much brighter than previous WOLED panels while consuming less power. On the one hand, LG quotes 335 nits typical peak brightness for a 21% improvement over 3rd Gen WOLED panels. On the other hand, the UltraGear OLED 27GX700A should reach 1,500 nits across a small area when viewing HDR content.
Moreover, the UltraGear OLED 27GX700A outputs at 2,560 x 1,440 pixels with a 280 Hz refresh rate, 0.03 ms GtG response times, 99.5% DCI-P3 colour space, an adjustable stand and modern ports like HDMI 2.1. Currently, the UltraGear OLED 27GX700A retails for CNY 4,599 (~$640). There is no word on pricing for other markets yet, nor is the new gaming monitor available to order in Hong Kong despite being listed on LG's website.
