AOC’s new 26.5-inch 500Hz monitor is one of the fastest 1440p displays yet, thanks to Samsung's QD-OLED panel

AOC just launched the AG326UZD on the 1st of this month. It's a 31.5-inch 4K QD-OLED monitor with 240Hz refresh rate, and succeeds last year's AG326UD. Now, it seems the company has a new model in the pipeline for the QHD crowd: the AGON Pro AG276QKD2.
This one’s a 26.5-inch QD-OLED panel with a native 2560 x 1440 resolution and a crazy high 500Hz refresh rate. While 500Hz support isn’t exactly new in the gaming monitor scene, it’s still somewhat rare - especially when paired with a QD-OLED panel. A lot of 500Hz displays today still rely on TN or fast IPS tech, making this a standout factor for the AG276QKD2.
The panel comes from Samsung - the same panel used in the Samsung Odyssey OLED G6, Gigabyte Aorus FO27Q5P and Philips Evnia 27M2N8500X), and it’s a full 10-bit display with excellent color coverage: 100% sRGB, 99% DCI-P3, and 98% Adobe RGB. Furthermore, it has a static contrast ratio of 1.5 million to 1 and DisplayHDR 500 True Black support. Brightness is capped at 300 nits typical and 1000 nits peak. The pixel density stands at 110 PPI, which is decent for a 1440p resolution on a 26.5-inch screen, and display area utilization (as per AOC) is above 90%.
The monitor stand supports full height adjustment (130mm), -5° to +23° tilt, ±30° swivel, and both 90° portrait pivots. It’s also VESA mountable and includes dual 5W speakers onboard for very basic audio needs. The monitor comes in a dual-tone black and gun gray finish with RGB Light FX elements integrated into the back.
On the I/O front, you're looking at 2 x HDMI 2.1 (DSC), 1 x DisplayPort 2.1, 2 x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, 1 x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-B (upstream), and a 3.5mm audio out port. No USB-C though, which might be a minor deterrent for some, considering most monitors are launching with the same these days.
As for gaming features, AOC has included all the usual bells and whistles: Adaptive-Sync, AMD FreeSync, Dynamic Crosshairs, Game Color, Shadow Control, Picture-in-Picture and Picture-by-Picture, plus AOC’s own G-Menu software for customization. QD-OLED Care features are also bundled in to reduce risk of burn-in over time.
International availability and pricing haven't been announced yet, but given its spec sheet, it’s likely going to sit near the top-end of the 1440p monitor segment.
