The Samsung Odyssey OLED G6 (G60SF) has dropped sharply in price at Woot, despite being just a few months old. Originally listed at $999.99, the 500 Hz OLED gaming monitor now costs less than some 240 Hz models.

If you’ve been holding out for a deal to snag one of the latest 500 Hz QD-OLED monitors, now might be the perfect time to pull the trigger. Woot has slashed the Samsung Odyssey OLED G6 (G60SF) from its $999.99 list price to $609.99, a massive $390 discount that brings the high-refresh-rate monitor to its lowest price ever.

According to Camelcamelcamel, the lowest tracked price for this monitor in new condition since its release was $812.81. The current deal not only beats its previous lowest price but also undercuts similar 500 Hz QD-OLED monitors like the MSI MAG 272QP QD-OLED X50 (curr: $749.99 at Newegg) by a wide margin.

Samsung Odyssey OLED G60SF key features

The biggest highlight of this monitor is its refresh rate. With 500 Hz at 1440p, it's an excellent pick for competitive gamers with high-end gaming PCs. It also offers cutting-edge gaming features such as a 0.03 ms response time, FreeSync Premium Pro and G-Sync support to prevent screen tearing, and a couple of in-game enhancements such as a black boost feature and crosshairs.

Moreover, the new QD-OLED panel is now certified under the VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 tier and reaches 1,000 nits, which should make highlights pop for a more impactful HDR experience. The display also includes an anti-glare coating, Pantone-validated colors, and several built-in features meant to help reduce burn-in.

However, like the MSI MAG 272QP QD-OLED X50, it still uses DisplayPort 1.4, which means it requires DSC to reach its 500 Hz maximum refresh rate. Other connectivity options include HDMI 2.1, a headphone jack, and USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports. For reference, the only 500 Hz QD-OLED monitors announced with DisplayPort 2.1 so far are the Gigabyte Aorus FO27Q5P, AOC AGON Pro AG276QKD2, and MSI MPG 271QR QD-OLED X50, though none have launched in the US.
