MSI has introduced the MPG 272URX QD-OLED and MPG 272QR QD-OLED X50 gaming monitors with advanced QD-OLED panels, ultra-fast response times, refresh rates of up to 500Hz, and high color accuracy.

Shortly after the official reveal of MSI's MPG 325CQRXF gaming monitor, the Taiwanese company has unveiled two new gaming monitors ahead of CES 2025 - the MPG 272URX QD-OLED and MPG 272QR QD-OLED X50, each targeting different segments of gaming enthusiasts. Both displays feature advanced QD-OLED panels with distinct features. For reference, a QD-OLED panel combines quantum dots with OLED tech for superior color accuracy, brightness, and contrast.

The MPG 272URX QD-OLED is a 27-inch 4K monitor (3840 x 2160) designed for ultra-detailed visuals. It has a 240Hz refresh rate and a 0.03ms (GtG) response time. The QD-OLED panel delivers 99% DCI-P3 and 133% sRGB color coverage for vibrant and true-to-life visuals. For enhanced HDR performance, the MPG 272URX QD-OLED supports VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 and boasts a peak brightness of 1000 nits (10% APL).

Connectivity options include two HDMI 2.1 ports, a DisplayPort 2.1, and USB-C with 90W power delivery, making it quite versatile for multi-device setups. The monitor also integrates MSI’s OLED Care 2.0 to minimize the risk of burn-in and comes with a three-year warranty covering OLED-specific concerns. Additionally, the DisplayPort 2.1 supports 80Gbps bandwidth for 4K 240Hz gameplay without compression.

Meanwhile, the MPG 272QR QD-OLED X50 takes gaming performance even further with a remarkable 500Hz refresh rate, paired with the same ultra-fast 0.03ms (GtG) response time. This 27-inch WQHD (2560 x 1440) monitor is built for esports enthusiasts who prioritize speed and responsiveness over resolution. Its QD-OLED panel delivers 99% DCI-P3 and 139% sRGB color coverage.

The MPG 272QR QD-OLED X50 features VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification for exceptional contrast and deep blacks. Its ClearMR 21000 certification addresses motion blur issues. The monitor also includes MSI’s OLED Care 2.0 for image retention protection and has the same 80Gbps DisplayPort 2.1 compatibility for lossless gaming at its maximum refresh rate.

Both monitors come equipped with ergonomic designs, including height, tilt, swivel, and pivot adjustments, and are built for long gaming sessions. Unfortunately, pricing and availability details haven't been divulged by MSI at the time of writing.
