LG Electronics has previewed the UltraGear OLED 39GX90SA, which it will be fully unveiling next week during CES 2025 in Las Vegas. For context, the company has also presented the UltraGear OLED 45GX950A and UltraGear OLED 45GX990A, which we have covered separately. Additionally, it seems as though LG's new 39-inch OLED gaming monitor replaces the 39GS95QE, which the company presented in January during this year's CES before releasing it two months later for $1,499.99 in the US (curr. $889.99 on Amazon).
Unfortunately, LG has not shared many specifics for the UltraGear OLED 39GX90SA yet. Instead, it has confirmed that the monitor will retain a 21:9 aspect ratio with an 800R curvature, just like the 39GS95QE. Additionally, it will come with LG's Anti-Glare & Low Reflection (AGLR) coating, which should minimise glare and reflections without compromising image quality. Moreover, LG reports that the monitor contains a compact 'L-shaped' stand and USB Type-C ports too; presumably, DisplayPort and HDMI connectivity will also make an appearance.
Surprisingly, the UltraGear OLED 39GX90SA will run webOS with access to streaming services like Amazon Prime and Netflix, unlike almost all of its other gaming monitors. Accordingly, LG describes the monitor as a 'home entertainment hub' rather than a straight gaming monitor. While there is no word yet on resolution or peak refresh rate, we doubt that LG would drop below the 1440p and 240 Hz that this year's 39GS95QE offers.
