Dell has finally brought QD-OLED panel technology to its professional monitor series. Specifically, the company has created the Plus 32 4K QD-OLED Monitor S3225QC, which we will refer to as S3225QC for brevity. On the face of it, the S3225QC should contain the same underlying panel technology as last year's Alienware AW3225QF and competitors like the MSI MPG 321URX (curr. $899.99 on Amazon).
However, Dell describes the S3225QC as supporting up to a 120 Hz refresh rate, which is much lower than any existing 32-inch QD-OLED monitor. To compensate, Dell included hardware to track head movements and create a '3D spatial sound' effect. According to the company, the S3225QC does so by utilising its built-in speakers (5 x 5 W) and beamforming microphones, as well as unspecified 'AI-enhanced' features.
Moreover, the S3225QC boasts 99% DCI-P3 colour space coverage and a USB Type-C port that can recharge connected devices at up to 90 W. On top of that, the monitor offers 0.03 ms GtG response times, as well as AMD FreeSync Premium, Dolby Vision and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certifications. Dell will begin selling the S3225QC on March 27 in China and May 22 worldwide. As it stands, Dell has only confirmed US pricing, which it has pegged at $799.99.
