Dell has lifted the lid on its 'Dell Pro' laptop portfolio, which it plans to offer later this year in 14-inch and 16-inch sizes. Billed as being 'designed for professional-grade productivity', the Dell Pro 14 and Pro 16 replace Latitude models like last year's Latitude 5550 (curr. $1,199 on Amazon). For reference, Dell adds that the two new machines also sport 'a new, modern design', which it complements with features like modular USB Type-C ports and Intel's new suite of Core Ultra Series 2 processors.
As the specification sheets below show, Dell has decided to offer the Pro 14 and Pro 16 with a choice between Core Ultra 5 225U, Core Ultra 5 235U vPro, Core Ultra 7 255U and Core Ultra 7 265U vPro processors. However, these will not be available until March. In the meantime, both machines will be available with one of seven 13th or 14th Gen Intel Core processors ranging from the Intel Core i3-1315U to the Core 7 250U.

Likewise, the two laptops will be configurable with several display options, although all are 16:10, 1200p and 60 Hz panels. Meanwhile, Dell includes an M.2 2230 SSD even in the larger 16-inch model, as well as a choice between 45 Wh or 55 Wh batteries. Moreover, the Pro 14 and Pro 16 share the same ports:
- 1x 3.5 mm jack
- 1x 4.5 mm power delivery
- 1x HDMI 2.1 (TMDS or FRL unknown)
- 1x RJ45 (Gigabit)
- 1x Thunderbolt 4
- 2x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A (PowerShare)
- 1x Wedge-shaped lock slot
Unfortunately, Dell has not confirmed how much either machine will cost yet. Mirroring that, is unclear when 13th or 14th Gen Intel Core-powered SKUs will be available. Incidentally, Dell mentions that AMD Ryzen variants will officially arrive before July; no other details about these AMD Ryzen models are known for now, though.
