Dell's Precision lineup has been around since the 1990s, and 2025 is the year when the branding has to say goodbye. The company has rebranded the series and introduced two laptops that will fall in the new rebranded series: Dell Pro Max 14 and Pro Max 16.
Among the two, as the name suggests, the Dell Pro Max 14 is the smaller option. It can be configured with up to a 14-inch display that features a QHD+ resolution. As for the internals, this smaller model can be configured with up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 CPU, and it's highly likely that the processor options will be from the upcoming Arrow Lake H lineup.
It will be possible to configure the laptop with Nvidia RTX 500-class professional GPU, and Dell says that the Pro Max 14 can be equipped with 2 TB of storage and high-speed RAM. The company also highlights the lightweight nature of the system, with the advertised weight being just 4.04 lbs.
As for the Dell Pro Max 16, it appears to be a slightly more capable laptop that can be configured with Nvidia RTX 2000 series GPUs. The CPU options remain the same, though. It also has a higher storage capacity, maxing out at 4 TB, and Dell says that both the new laptops have WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 to offer reliable wireless connectivity.
Both the new Dell Pro Max laptops also have a solid build quality, featuring a MIL-STD durability rating. There's no word on the pricing yet, but they are expected to hit the shelves between March and April 2025. There's an AMD Ryzen edition planned as well.
