HP has refreshed the Omen 16 with AMD Strix Point and Intel Arrow Lake processors. Not only that, but the new HP Omen 16 will be available with one of Nvidia's 'Next-Gen Laptop' GPUs.

HP has overhauled the Omen 16, which we last reviewed with an Intel Core i9-14900HX and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 GPU. Not only does the new model contain refreshed internals, but it also sports a redesigned exterior. In fact, the new Omen 16 appears to borrow a few design cues from last year's Omen Transcend 14 (curr. $1,459.90 on Amazon).

Likewise, the new Omen 16 is about the same width and height as the Omen Transcend 16, thanks to its 16:10 display. With that being said, its 23.75~29.6 mm thickness makes the Omen 16 about as thick as its predecessor. Meanwhile, HP plans to offer the laptop with the following processor options:

AMD

  • Ryzen AI 5 340
  • Ryzen AI 7 350
  • Ryzen AI 9 365

Intel

  • Core i7-14650HX
  • Core i9-14900HX
  • Core 5 210H
  • Core 7 240H
  • Core 7 250H
  • Core Ultra 5 225H
  • Core Ultra 7 255H
  • Core Ultra 9 285H

Additionally, the laptop will be configurable with a GeForce RTX 4050 (6 GB GDDR6) and one of Nvidia's 'Next-Gen Laptop' GPUs. Moreover, the Omen 16 will be available with up to 32 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM, 1 TB of PCIe Gen 4 storage and an 83 Wh (6-cell) battery that supports 230 W charging. Furthermore, HP will sell three IPS display options culminating in a 2.5K, 500 nit and 3 ms panel that delivers 60-240 Hz variable refresh rates.

On top of that, there will be two keyboard choices and various modems from which to choose. HP has confirmed that the new Omen 16 will be available in March from $1,599.99. Unfortunately, it has not shared any other pricing details at this stage.
