HP has announced a new silent mouse available in a range of colors. Compatible with multiple operating systems, the HP 400 Quiet Mouse can connect via Bluetooth and the included 2.4GHz wireless dongle, and has a battery life of up to 2 years.

Alongside new PCs, laptops, and desktops, HP has also announced new accessories, one of which is the HP 400 Quiet Wireless Mouse. The multi-platform full-sized mouse has an ambidextrous design and support for dual-connectivity.

Made from a combination of recycled plastic and a soft silicone material, the HP 400 Quiet Wireless Mouse can be connected via Bluetooth or with the included 2.4GHz wireless dongle. As the name says, this is a quiet mouse, so expect quiet clicks and silent scrolling.

HP says the mouse has multi-surface tracking and up to 6000 dpi. In addition to the left and right click buttons, the mouse also has side navigation buttons, a scroll wheel with button, and a center button for accessing shortcuts.

The HP 400 Quiet Wireless Mouse is compatible with Windows 10 & 11 (Microsoft Swift Pair supported), macOS, and ChromeOS. Unfortunately, there's no mention of support for Linux, Android, and iPadOS. It comes with a single AA battery that should provide up to 24 months of use before replacement. When it launches in May, it will be available in Black, Cream, Blue, Purple, and Pink for $29.99.
