Sanwa Supply unveils wireless handheld mouse with media control pad for regular and VR users
Sanwa Supply has released the 400-MAWBT204BK handheld mouse to control computers wirelessly. The mouse uses a pointing stick similar to the Lenovo TrackPoint to move the cursor without requiring a flat surface. This allows AR/VR/XR and regular users to control applications on their computers while walking in virtual reality or lounging in bed.
The pointing stick is surrounded by the mouse control pad - four buttons that control page up, page down, next page, and prior page - for easy control of presentations and ebook reading. The media control pad below the mouse pad allows direct control of media playback without having to move the cursor to on-screen play, FF/RW, or volume controls. A scroll wheel between the two enables fine control of page scrolling.
The wireless handheld mouse weighs 1.98 oz. (56 g) and measures 2.28 x 4.5 x 2.22 in. (5.78 x 11.43 x 5.63 cm). The 2.4 Ghz Wi-Fi USB-A receiver is stored within the mouse grip when travel and controlled by a switch on the mouse that selects Wi-Fi or Bluetooth 5.0 mode. In Bluetooth mode, the mouse can be used with Android OS, Apple iOS, Chrome OS, MacOS, and Windows devices. The rechargeable battery provides approximately 75 hours of runtime under normal use.
