Sanwa Supply unveils MA-BTRING5BK wireless finger mouse with crown scroll wheel

Sanwa Supply has unveiled the MA-BTRING5BK wireless finger mouse with crown scroll wheel. The mouse is worn on a finger and can be operated in the air to control computers, tablets, and smartphones from up to 33 feet (10 m) away. The crown wheel can be turned with the thumb to quickly scroll through webpages and documents. This allows users to control presentations, media playback, web pages, and documents while standing during a presentation or relaxing on a couch.

The mouse has four buttons surrounding the center cursor. The cursor uses an infrared LED to sense finger motion over it at 800 counts per inch to simulate mouse movement. This completely eliminates the need for a mouse pad or desk space to operate the ring mouse. The buttons provide left and right clicks as well as scrolling up and down.

The mouse has a three-position switch to select between off mode, computer mouse mode, and smartphone mode, which has swipe emulation to control functions in apps that computer mouse mode cannot.

The internal battery has a continuous runtime of 34 hours non-stop, or about 60 days of average mouse use. The mouse can charge using the included USB-A to USB-C adapter cable when connected to a computer or using any USB-C cable connected to a standard USB power supply. The mouse weighs 0.74 ounce (21 g) and measures 1.7 x 2.8 x 1.5 inches (42 × 72 × 38 mm).

The MA-BTRING5BK wireless ring mouse has an MSRP of 8,800 yen (~$60). The mouse is scheduled to be released in late September on Sanwa's online store and Amazon.
