Sanwa Supply releases Bluetooth thumb mouse 400-MABT156BK2 for convenient browsing and presentations from afar
Sanwa Supply has released the Bluetooth thumb mouse 400-MABT156BK2 for one-thumb operation. PC, Mac, Android, Apple, and ChromeOS computers, tablets, and smartphones can connect with the thumb mouse over a Bluetooth 5.0 connection. There is no need for a flat mouse surface, so owners can browse websites, control media, and make presentations standing or sitting.
The Sanwa thumb mouse uses a ThinkPad TrackPoint-like stick under the thumb. Users control the mouse cursor by pushing the stick in any direction. This also eliminates the need to lift a finger constantly when scrolling on a touchpad. The mouse has four buttons: right and left click buttons to both sides of the pointing stick and up and down scroll buttons above and below.
Users can operate their touchscreen devices without touching the screen from up to 33 feet (10 meters away), thus eliminating greasy fingerprints and cleanings. There is no need to hold the mouse because it mounts on a finger securely, so users can use both hands freely to grab objects, write, or interact with other devices.
The mouse can run up to 46 8-hour workdays during normal use or 26 hours during non-stop use like gaming. Any USB-A port can recharge the mouse with the included cable. The mouse weighs 0.56 ounce (16 grams) for comfortable all-day use. The thumb mouse is priced at 5,480 yen in Japan (approx. $36).
Readers who have touched their phone and tablet touchscreens can remove those greasy fingerprints using alcohol on a lint free wipe (like these at Amazon).
