HP has refreshed the OmniStudio X, which it began selling last year with Intel Meteor Lake processes like the Core Ultra 7 155H (curr. $1,399.99 on Amazon). While 27-inch and 32-inch sizes have returned, Intel's Meteor Lake platform has made way for Lunar Lake processors.
Specifically, HP will offer both of its new all-in-one desktops with Core Ultra 5 226V, Core Ultra 7 256V or Core Ultra 7 258V processors. As a result, the OmniStudio X will also ship with 16 GB or 32 GB of LPDDR5X-8533 MT/s RAM. Meanwhile, HP will include 256 GB, 512 GB, 1 TB or 2 TB PCIe Gen 4 storage, although we doubt the M.2 drives used are user-replaceable. At any rate, both sizes find themselves with the following ports:
Side
- 2x USB Type-A (10 Gbps)
- 1x USB Type-C (10 Gbps)
Rear
- 1x 3.5 mm jack
- 1x HDMI 1.4 output
- 1x HDMI 2.1 input
- 1x RJ45
- 1x USB Type-A (10 Gbps)
- 1x USB Type-C (20 Gbps) (DisplayPort 1.4 In/Out)
Moreover, the pair will be available exclusively in Meteor silver finishes with height-adjustable stands and cable management clips. However, the two sizes diverge in terms of their displays. According to HP, the OmniStudio X 32 will only be sold with a 4K and non-touch IPS panel that reaches 550 nits with 95% DCI-P3 colour space coverage and VESA DisplayHDR 600 certification. By contrast, there will be three OmniStudio X 27 display options to choose from:
- 1080p IPS, 300 nits, 99% sRGB colour space coverage, touchscreen
- 1080p IPS, 300 nits, 99% sRGB colour space coverage, no touchscreen
- 4K IPS, 350 nits, 99% sRGB colour space coverage, no touchscreen
HP expects to begin selling both new OmniStudio X all-in-one desktops later this month in the US. As it stands, the company has confirmed that the series will start at $1,149.99, presumably for the 27-inch variant with a Core Ultra 5 226V, 16 GB of RAM, a 256 GB SSD and a 1080p display. No other information has been revealed at this time, though.
