Just a few days ago, we got a peek at an MSI-branded GeForce RTX 5080. The packaging confirmed earlier leaks and told us the graphics card would come with 16 GB GDDR7 VRAM. Now, thanks to Videocardz, we get to see its elder sibling, the GeForce RTX 5090.
A retail box of the Blackwell flagship confirms it will come with 32 GB of GDDR7 memory, putting to rest any doubts about its VRAM capacity. And, like its predecessor, it will be gargantuan with a 3.5 slot design. It will need all the cooling it can get to keep 575 Watts of power in check. This appears to be an Inno3D iChill X3 card.
Unfortunately, we can't see the back of the box, where all the good stuff is usually written. Still, we know that DLSS 4.0 will debut alongside the GeForce RTX 50 series. However, you may have to wait a while before you can get your hands on a GeForce RTX 5090. Apparently, the GeForce RTX 5080 will be the first to hit shelves in late-January. There's no telling when the RTX 5090 will follow suit, but there is bound to be a few weeks gap, at least.
