Asus has presented a pair of huge gaming desktops, which it intends to sell under the ROG Strix G700 series. Principally, the pair look identical thanks to their 58L cases with their quad-fan systems and 'ROG aesthetics'. However, while one utilises AMD's recent Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor, the other will ship with Intel's Core Ultra 9 285K (curr. $599.99 on Amazon).
With that being said, both versions of the ROG G700 feature Nvidia's new GeForce RTX 5090 GPU. For reference, the Blackwell architecture-based GPU contains a whopping 32 GB of GDDR7 VRAM, which Asus complements with up to 64 GB of DDR5 RAM and PCIe Gen 5 storage. On top of that, Asus plans to offer the ROG G700 series in air and water-cooled configurations, all with tool-free access.
Furthermore, the ROG G700 series features 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6 connectivity and a baker's dozen of USB ports. Unfortunately, Asus has not yet revealed full availability or pricing for any SKU. Instead, it has suggested that AMD and Intel ROG G700 variants will be orderable by late March in pre-built and customisable configurations. Presumably, this also means that the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, Intel Core Ultra 9 285K and Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 will not be the only options available, either.
