Xiaomi first unveiled its latest notebook, the Redmi Book (2025), last week. The company has now finally launched the laptop in full, with it succeeding last year's model albeit without any significant changes on the design side.
Like last year, two SKUs of the new RedmiBook are available, a 14-inch model and a larger 16-inch one. Both SKUs are 15.9mm thin, but while the 14-inch one weighs in at 1.36 KG, the 16-inch model is a heftier 1.65 KG. Both laptops offer 120 Hz displays, presumably LCDs, that peak at 400 nits but the 14-inch model somehow offers a higher-res 2.8K display versus the 16-inch unit 2.5K screen.
All models of the RedmiBook (2025) are powered by Intel's new Core 5 220H. Xiaomi promises 19.05 hours of battery life for the Windows 11 machine, thanks to a 72Wh battery. 100W GaN fast charging is supported as well.
Initial pricing for the RedmiBook 16 (2025) is as follows:
- 16/512 GB - CNY 4,799 ($660)
- 16/1 TB - CNY 5,099 ($700)
- 32/1 TB - CNY 5,399 ($740)
The smaller 14-inch model is CNY 200 (($27) cheaper across all configurations. It should noted, however, that the above prices are for initial sales, and RRP is pegged CNY 500 ($70) higher across all SKUs.
