Even though the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro Plus and Pixel 9 Pro Fold have been out and about for a while now, their last-gen counterparts are just as relevant in the current year. Those on the prowl for a cheap, but high-end smartphone, might find value in the latest Pixel 8 Pro deal on Amazon.
You can buy the last-gen flagship for just $649, a full $250 cheaper than its asking price of $999. Unfortunately, the discount only applies to the 128 GB storage variant, which isn't nearly enough for a device launched in 2023. Still, if limited storage is not an issue for you, the phone's camera prowess is unparalleled and with Google's promise of long-term software support, you can daily drive it for years.
In our in-depth review, we praised the Pixel 8 Pro for its cameras, battery life and bright display. But, it is still restricted to UFS 3.1 storage and its Tensor G3 remains a pain point as it cannot compete against similarly specced competitors from Qualcomm and even MediaTek.
