Koorui's G7 gaming monitor debuts with a groundbreaking 750Hz refresh rate, 0.5ms response time, HDR400, and 95% DCI-P3 coverage. It will be showcased at CES 2025.

We're seeing a lot of gaming monitors being officially unveiled ahead of CES 2025, such as the MSI MPG 272QR QD-OLED X50 and the BenQ Zowie XL2586X+ (which features 600Hz refresh rate). Well, Chinese brand Koorui has taken this a step further, launching the G7 - the first consumer-grade gaming monitor with 750Hz refresh rate - ahead of CES 2025. This is a huge step in display technology, even though it's aimed at primarily competitive gaming. For reference, Koorui operates as a subsidiary of HKC, a well-established display panel manufacturer in China.

The G7 is a 24.5-inch Full HD (1920x1080) gaming monitor equipped with a TN panel. It offers a 0.5ms (GtG) response time and, of course, a standout 750Hz refresh rate. The monitor includes HDR400 support and achieves 95% DCI-P3 color coverage, mitigating the TN panel’s usual limitations in color accuracy.

While the 750Hz refresh rate represents a major leap, its practical impact will likely depend on the use case. Current hardware capabilities might limit frame rates to significantly lower levels, making the full benefit of 750Hz less accessible for most users. Additionally, the perceptual difference between 500Hz and 750Hz diminishes for the majority of players, especially in less demanding scenarios. As such, the G7 may cater primarily to professional esports players or those interested in testing the latest advancements.

The G7 features multiple ergonomic options, including height, tilt, and swivel adjustments. It is equipped with low blue light and flicker-free technology to make extended gaming sessions easier on the eyes. Connectivity includes three HDMI 2.1 ports, a DisplayPort 1.4, and a headphone jack for broad compatibility with modern gaming setups.

The Koorui G7 is scheduled for mass production in 2025. While its 750Hz refresh rate may appeal to a very niche audience, it is more so a demonstration of the company's ability to innovate in the gaming hardware space. The monitor will be showcased at CES 2025 (Jan 7).
