The new MSI Titan is finally here for large laptop enjoyers. Like everything else launched at CES 2025, it, too, gets a dash of AI and some major hardware improvements. The MSI Titan 18 HX AI, like its predecessor, is a no-holds-barred laptop with some the best hardware available on the market and a price tag to match.
It comes with an 18-inch (3,840 x 2,400) mini-LED screen that refreshes at 120 Hz. It has VESA HDR 1000 certification and covers 100% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut. You'll need powerful hardware to drive it and that's what you get with the Titan 18 HX AI, which lets you pick between a 24 GB Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 or a 16 GB GeForce RTX 5080 laptop GPU.
For the CPU, unfortunately, only Intel Arrow Lake-HX (Core Ultra 9 275HX) options are available. An AMD Fire Range CPU with 3D V-cache would have slotted in perfectly here. But an Intel chip unlocks Thunderbolt capabilities and you get two Thunderbolt 5.0 ports, along with 3x USB 3.2 Type-A, 1x HDMI 2.1, 2.5G Ethernet, Wi-Fi 7 and a 1080p camera with an IR sensor for Windows Hello.
The MSI Titan 18 HX AI packs a 99.9 Wh battery and gives you a 400 Watt charger to go with it. The laptop comes with CherryMX mechanical switches, and for some reason, a dedicated Windows CoPilot key. MSI hasn't specified how much RAM or storage is packed in a SKU, but says it supports up to 96 GB of the former and has three slots (1x PCIe Gen 5, 2x PCIe Gen4) for the latter.
Unfortunately, MSI hasn't revealed how much the Titan 18 HX AI will cost, but a decked-out model will easily set you back by at least $3,000.
