LG has released a new 39-inch OLED gaming monitor in certain markets, less than six months after it launched the UltraGear OLED 39GX90SA (curr. $1,446.99 on Amazon). However, it seems that the new UltraGear OLED 39GX900A shares plenty of its features with the older UltraGear OLED 39GS95QE too.
Based on the specifications that LG has shared on its website, the UltraGear OLED 39GX900A features a Gen 2 WOLED panel spanning 39-inches diagonally with a 1440p native resolution, a 21:9 aspect ratio and a 240 Hz refresh rate. Other signs that we are dealing with a Gen 2 WOLED panel has an 800R curvature and 1,300 nits peak HDR brightness but 275 nits peak SDR brightness.
Ultimately, the UltraGear OLED 39GX900A appears to sit between LG's two other 39-inch WOLED gaming monitors by adding a 65 W USB Type-C port and stereo 7 W speakers that the UltraGear OLED 39GS95QE lacks. However, the UltraGear OLED 39GX900A misses out on Gigabit Ethernet connectivity and webOS 24 integration. Currently, the UltraGear OLED 39GX900A can be ordered from LG Canada and LG Hong Kong for CA$1,599 (~$1,163) and HK$10,980 (~$1,399), respectively. We cannot find pricing for other regions just yet, despite suggestions that the monitor will reach the US for $1,237.
