For creative professionals, a good monitor should have accurate colors, apart from a high resolution, ergonomics, and the right set of connectivity options. ViewSonic’s latest launch in its ColorPro lineup, the VP2488-4K, ticks nearly all of those boxes in a compact 24-inch package.
Announced in August 2025, the VP2488-4K is built around a 23.8-inch IPS panel with a native 4K resolution (3840 × 2160) and 8-bit + FRC color depth. It covers 100% of the sRGB gamut and 98% of DCI-P3, and it comes Pantone Validated for those working in color-critical fields. The panel has a brightness of 500 cd/m², a static contrast ratio of 1300:1, and a 5ms GtG response time, with an anti-glare matte coating to cut reflections.
On the connectivity side, the VP2488-4K is well-equipped. There’s HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, dual USB 3.2 ports, and two Thunderbolt 4 ports - one supporting 100W power delivery for charging laptops and daisy-chaining multiple monitors. Mac compatibility is baked in too, which makes it a solid plug-and-play choice for those in the Apple ecosystem.
The monitor stand supports 120mm of height adjustment, ±30° swivel, ±90° pivot for portrait use, and a tilt range from -5° to 22°. The monitor is VESA mountable (100 × 100mm) and includes a Kensington lock slot for security. Accessories in the box include a DisplayPort cable, HDMI cable, Thunderbolt 4 cable, and a USB-C to USB-A cable.
ViewSonic has confirmed the official retail price for VP2488-4K as $549.
