Redmi A27U Type-C: Xiaomi intros refreshed affordable 4K monitor with 90 W USB-C charging

Xiaomi has introduced the refreshed Redmi A27U Type-C. As the name suggests, there's a multi-function USB-C port with 90 W fast charging support, allowing users to easily get a display from a device while recharging it. Of course, there are other input options available, including:

• 2x HDMI 2.0
• 1x DisplayPort 1.4
• 2x USB 2.0 for peripherals
• 1x 3.5 mm audio

As for the panel of the Redmi A27U Type-C 2026, it's a 27-inch IPS display with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. Xiaomi says that the screen can cover 100% of the sRGB and 93% of the DCI-P3 color spaces. One notable improvement over the previous model, however, is that the new monitor comes with HDR400 certification. With this, the company highlights the 400 nits brightness rating of the panel, and notes that the expanded brightness range allows it to offer bright and vibrant images.

Regarding the design, the 2026 Redmi A27U Type-C retains the sleek frame from last year's model. It also has narrow bezels, making it ideal for a multi-monitor setup (Huanuo dual monitor stand curr. $59.99 on Amazon). Other notable aspects of this affordable monitor include an adjustable stand, multiple eye-protection features, and full brightness DC dimming.

At the current stage, Xiaomi is taking pre-orders for the Redmi A27U Type-C in China, and it is going for CNY 1,799, which is about $250. The company hasn't shared when the affordable 4K monitor will make a global debut, but it's worth noting that Xiaomi did bring the previous versions outside the Chinese market.
