Xiaomi is now offering a new monitor in Germany, which marks the global debut of the A27Ui. It’s a high-resolution screen with a focus on decent color reproduction. The display should be suitable for non-professional creative workflows, while the USB-C port can be used to receive an image signal and charge a connected laptop or similar device.
Another monitor from Xiaomi is now also available for purchase in Germany and probably other European countries. The global launch of the Xiaomi A27Ui 4K monitor was already expected, but now it’s available and the brand’s official online store as well as third-party retailers for €270 instead of the regular MSRP of €300.
The A27Ui is a monitor for various use cases. To be more exact, it’s not a gaming monitor but should be well suited for office usage or simply browsing. The Chinese manufacturer advertises a color deviation of Delta E < 1 and a feature to adjust colors across multiple Xiaomi devices. The DCI-P3 color space is covered by 95%, while all sRGB colors can be displayed. However, the Xiaomi monitor lacks support for Calman Ready, so it’s probably not the first choice for color-critical applications in a professional context.
Nevertheless, Xiaomi opted for a 27-inch IPS panel with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels, a refresh rate of 60Hz and a response time of 6 milliseconds. The manufacturer further specifies a peak brightness of 360 nits. A USB hub is built-in and can be used to connect accessories like a mouse and keyboard, for instance. Meanwhile, cables can be hidden under a removable cover. The 4K monitor also comes with a USB-C port, which can be used for image input as well as charging a laptop with up to 90 watts. Last but not least, the Xiaomi A27Ui can be adjusted in height and rotated.

I have been active as a journalist for over 10 years, most of it in the field of technology. I worked for Tom’s Hardware and ComputerBase, among others, and have been working for Notebookcheck since 2017. My current focus is particularly on mini PCs and single-board computers such as the Raspberry Pi – so in other words, compact systems with a lot of potential. In addition, I have a soft spot for all kinds of wearables, especially smartwatches. My main profession is as a laboratory engineer, which is why neither scientific contexts nor the interpretation of complex measurements are foreign to me.

My fascination for technology goes back a long way to the Pentium II era. Modding, overclocking and treasuring computer hardware has since become an integral part of my life. As a student, I further developed a keen interest in mobile technologies that can make the stressful college life so much easier. After I fell in love with the creation of digital content while working in a marketing position, I now scour the web to bring you the most exciting topics in the world of tech. Outside the office, I’m particularly passionate about motorsports and mountain biking.
