Roland Quandt and WinFuture have shared fresh details about the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra before its likely release towards the end of the summer or the start of autumn. While the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra (curr. $900 on Amazon) made minimal changes from its predecessor, it seems that Samsung has bundled multiple improvements that it will package as the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra.
Reiterating prior leaks, the pair report that Samsung's Ultra-branded tablet will return with a 14.6-inch OLED display with a 2,960 x 1,848-pixel resolution. As has already been established, Samsung will drop one of last year's front-facing cameras in an effort to eliminate the notch that existed on earlier models. Apparently, Samsung has managed to reduce the tablet's overall thickness from 5.4 mm to nearer 5 mm too.
Nonetheless, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra will be the first Ultra-branded tablet with a larger battery than its predecessor. Now totalling 11,600 mAh in a circa-4% uplift, this battery is also set to support 45 W wired charging. Confusion remains about Samsung's chipset choice, though.
Initially, benchmark leaks suggested that the company had adopted the Dimensity 9400+, a logical replacement for the Dimensity 9300+ inside the Galaxy Tab S10 series. However, Quandt has inferred from Dealabs that Samsung will use the Dimensity 9400 instead. Given that both the Dimensity 9400 and Dimensity 9400+ are referred to as 'MT6991', we would not rule out the latter featuring inside the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra rather than the former.
