Lenovo introduced the Legion Go S at CES 2025. This new gaming handheld was announced with two core configurations. One features the Ryzen Z2 Go, while the other sports the Ryzen Z1 Extreme. While the latter has yet to go on sale, the Z2 Go version just recently became available to purchase, with the configuration featuring 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage having a regular price tag of $729.99.
However, thanks to this limited-time deal on Best Buy, the same configuration of the Lenovo Legion Go S (Windows) is now available for $599.99. That translates to a $130 discount, making the Ryzen Z2 Go-powered gaming handheld a lot more affordable than before.
As for the gaming handheld itself, the Ryzen Z2 Go-powered Legion Go S didn't do well in our review, mostly because of its poor price-to-performance ratio. This custom APU is slower than the Ryzen Z1 Extreme in gaming, which is quite expected. After all, the Z2 Go features the Radeon 680M, while the Z1 Extreme sports the more capable Radeon 780M iGPU.
Besides the slightly underwhelming chipset, the other specs of the Legion Go S are up to the mark. As we noted in our review, this Ryzen Z2 Go gaming handheld features a decent screen, and the controller layout is quite comfortable. It's battery life is great too.
Other notable highlights of the gaming handheld include good build quality, customizable shoulder buttons, and a sleek design. You can learn more about the Ryzen 2 Go-powered Legion Go S from our in-depth written review or the video attached below.
