Xiaomi has now released a new mid-range smartwatch globally. Available for €159.99 (~$166), the Xiaomi Watch S4 combines an ultra-bright display with modern health tracking features and excellent battery life.

The Watch S4 is Xiaomi's latest attempt at creating a modular smartwatch. Having debuted last October in China, the Watch S4 has now been given a global release alongside the company's Xiaomi 15 series smartphones and Pad 7 series tablets, among other devices.

According to Xiaomi, the Watch S4 replaces the Watch S3 with a 1.43-inch AMOLED display that resolves at 466 x 466 pixels with a 60 Hz refresh rate and 1,500 nits peak brightness (HBM). The new smartwatch is also said to measure heart rate and blood oxygen levels to an accuracy of 98.2% when compared to a professional device. Moreover, Xiaomi boasts that HyperOS 2.0 delivers up to 5 days of battery with always-on display functionality activated or up to 15 days with the feature disabled.

The Watch S4 starts at €159.99 (~$166) in the Eurozone or for free with pre-orders of the Xiaomi 15 when opting for its 512 GB variant. As a result, Xiaomi's latest smartwatch is €10 more expensive than last year's Watch S3 (curr. $149.99 on Amazon). However, it is also slightly cheaper than pre-release rumours suggested. Please see Xiaomi's website for more details.
