Alongside the Find X8 series, Oppo also announced a global version of its tablet, the Oppo Pad 3 Pro. While it shares several of its features with the OnePlus Pad 2 announced back in August, there are a few differences between the two Android tablets.
The Oppo Pad 3 Pro has a 12.1'' LCD with a 3K resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 900 nits. It also has a smart Eye Care mode that helps protect the eyes of a user. Unlike the OnePlus Pad 2 that is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, the global version of the Oppo Pad 3 Pro has the slightly more powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version which has its CPU and GPU clocked higher.
Oppo's tablet is also available in a single configuration that has 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of storage. However, while the OnePlus Pad 2's storage is UFS 3.1, the Oppo Pad 3 Pro has UFS 4.0 storage. The cameras on both tablets are the same - an 8MP front-facing camera and a 13MP rear camera that can record in 4K at 30fps.
The Oppo Pad 3 Pro has got eight speakers that provide an immersive sound experience. It also has Hi-Res Audio and Hi-Res Audio Wireless certifications. Like the OnePlus Pad 2, it doesn't have an audio jack. There's Bluetooth 5.4, and Oppo says that it has support for LHDC when connected to an Oppo Enco X or OnePlus Buds Pro earbuds. It also has Wi-Fi 7.
Oppo's new tablet packs a 9,510mAh battery that should provide up to 12 hours of video playback. It has support for 67W SUPERVOOC fast charging and comes with a charger in the box.
The Oppo Pad 3 Pro ships with ColorOS and comes in Starlit Blue. It is available to buy for £499 in the UK and €600 in Europe. It has also been reported that Oppo will ship all orders made before December 31 with a free Oppo Pencil 2 Pro Stylus and the Oppo Pad 3 Pro Smart Keyboard with NFC.
While that does sound like a pretty good deal, OnePlus has an equally tempting offer on the OnePlus Pad 2 on its official online store.
In the UK, the OnePlus Pad 2 is 16% off its launch price of £499 which brings it down to £419. Buyers also get two free gifts - a OnePlus Buds 3, and the option to choose between the OnePlus Stylo2 stylus, OnePlus SUPERVOOC 80W Dual Ports GaN Charger, and the OnePlus Folio Case 2 as the second free gift.
In Ireland, the price is down to €469 (originally €549) and the free gifts are the same. The promo runs until December 2.
Across the pond, the tablet is down to $449.99 from $549.99 in the US, and buyers get the OnePlus Buds Pro 3, OnePlus Folio Case 2, or the OnePlus Pad Smart Keyboard as a free gift. There's no mention of when the promo will end. The OnePlus Pad 2 is also down to $479.99 on Amazon but doesn't come with free gifts.
