The Pad 2 has a 3K version of OnePlus' unique 12.1-inch 7:5 ReadFit display, 67W SuperVOOC charging and the ex-flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. Now, it also has the most up-to-date version of Android thanks to its latest software upgrade.
The brand has announced that it is seeding OxygenOS 15 to the European, Indian and global versions of the Pad 2. It upgrades the tablet to Live Alerts: real-time versions of OnePlus' Dynamic Island clone (the "capsule") that can scroll information about things like food deliveries, ride-share apps or a device's charging status.
OxygenOS 15.0.0.401 for the OnePlus Pad 2 also confers AI Reply on the tablet. It is rated to generate chat responses automatically based on the context of the conversation in a "natural" way. The update is also backed to enhance general system stability and even battery life in some cases.
Then again, it also raises the security patch level to December 2024 even though it is January 2025 now. The new version of OxygenOS 15 is rolling out incrementally to its target tablet from now.
