Microsoft is reportedly planning to bring several major titles to the Switch 2, according to the well-known and reliable industry insider Nate the Hate.

The Switch 2 is rumored to launch in March 2025 and speculation about Nintendo's next console is gaining momentum. Since the December 2024 mega-leak, which unveiled the first render images and specs, even more rumors have emerged about the successor to the Nintendo Switch (currently available for $295 on Amazon). Among them is the suggestion that the console might debut with Final Fantasy 9 instead of Mario Kart 9. Just days ago, video footage surfaced showing the Switch 2, complete with its dock and Joy-Con. Now, industry insider Nate the Hate has shared intriguing details about potential game releases for the new system.

In a 90-minute podcast covering topics like new Xbox hardware and general 2025 releases, gaming insider Nate the Hate shared insights about games Microsoft might bring to the Switch 2. Of particular note are the Halo: Master Chief Collection and Microsoft Flight Simulator, two titles unavailable on the current Nintendo Switch. With the upgraded Tegra T239 GPU, however, the new console should have the capability to run these games.

According to Nate the Hate, Microsoft might also port additional titles to the Switch 2, including Hi-Fi Rush, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. However, the sources behind his claims remain unknown. While Nate the Hate has previously shared accurate rumors, there’s no guarantee that some or any of these games will ultimately make their way to Nintendo's next console.
