The Nintendo Switch 2 has leaked more than just about any other tech product in recent memory, with some leaks being more credible than others. Today, a new leak from a case manufacturer seems to fall into the “more credible” camp. What's more, the leaked images confirm previously detailed changes to the design of both the Joy-Con controllers and the actual main body of the Nintendo Switch 2.
In an image posted to Facebook, accessory manufacturer, Skull & Co. Gaming (soon to be renamed Savage Raven), teased its upcoming NeoGrip — Joy-Con accessory grips — for the Nintendo Switch 2. The promotional images posted by Skull & Co. Gaming feature the grips attached to what appears to be an accurate render of Nintendo's next-generation Switch 2.
In those promotional images, the Nintendo Switch 2 shows off its redesigned Joy-Cons with the larger, more spaced-out control scheme, and larger LCD screen with its surprisingly slim bezels. When it comes to the back of the Switch 2, the Skull & Co. images show off the updated kickstand, which was previously seen in the sketchy Reddit leaks by NextHandheld.
Along with the redesigned controllers and the slimmer screen, the overall look of the Switch 2 is far more modern, for better or worse, with the joints between the Joy-Cons and the tablet portion seemingly having much tighter tolerances. There's also the additional “C” button on the right Joy-Con, which has been speculated to be something like a “Cast” or “Chat” button — or simply a placeholder for whatever Nintendo plans to implement on the final version. Also visible are the new, redesigned Joy-Con detachment buttons, larger triggers, and altered thumb stick designs.
The Switch 2 is expected to launch before the end of March, 2025, but if you're looking for a gaming handheld sooner, the Lenovo Legion Go S is on pre-order at Best Buy (curr. $729.99) and the original Legion Go can be had for $649.99 at Best Buy.
