Next-generation Nintendo Switch leaks have been piling up in the last few days. To start with, alleged images of the console's motherboard surfaced with a clear look at its Nvidia chipset. Following that, Nintendo's new Joy-Con design popped up with a potential mouse control mode, which were promptly complemented by a look at the company's new dock.
Now, Genki has already published a teaser website for the 'NS2', which it describes as the 'next handheld'. For reference, Genki sells various accessories for the current Nintendo Switch, including the popular Covert Dock Mini (curr. $39.99 on Amazon). Surprisingly, the website contains a video that is nearly 30 seconds long, which we have embedded below.
As far as we can tell, the device shown is a dummy unit. Consequently, it remains to be seen whether it accurately reflects the console's final design. With that being said, the design fits with recent leaks, such as the presence of two USB Type-C ports, a larger display and magnetically attachable Joy-Con controllers. Moreover, it appears that the new Joy-Cons can only be detached once a rear-mounted button is pressed.
On top of that, Genki has been exhibiting some of its forthcoming Switch 2 accessories this week at CES 2025 in Las Vegas. Not only was the company playing the same video embedded below, but it also allowed the website Numerama to compare the dummy unit against an original Switch. Based on current rumours, Nintendo will be announcing its next-generation Switch console before the end of the month.
