The tripod is often the go-to accessory when you want to set your iPhone or smartphone up as a camera for A-roll, but it is less than ideal in some situations, such as when there is no space in one's golf bag to store it.
Rokform seems to think that is a problem worth solving, as it has designed the Golf Shooter Pro, a monopod with the tapering design better suited to slip into such a bag.
It is also rated to weigh just 450 grams (g, or ~1lb) for even more convenient transport and storage. Despite that, its slender stand is made of "strong but lightweight, premium aircraft-grade" aluminum, and is backed to be able to keep upright, even if plunged into the ground in the wind instead.
The Golf Shooter Pro Monopod's stand is also collapsible and, thus, measures between 15 and 47 inches in length.
It integrates the OEM's Magmax technology in a mount rated to hold a device that is either MagSafe-compatible or adapted to be so with a magnetic ring - although Rokform recommends the use of one of its own cases for maximal stability.
The Monopod's mount also doubles as a wireless charger with its in-built USB-C port - although the user will have to supply their own power source.
It also features a magnetic base for standalone attachment to golf carts or other surfaces, while the stand itself has a standard 1/4-20 thread for use with a range of cameras or other accessories.
Accordingly, despite its name, the Golf Shooter Pro could also be the ideal accessory for filming in other sports, activities or even just around the home. It is "Coming Soon" to Rokform's web-store at a price of $149.99.
