MagSafe-style wireless charging has given rise to an impressively diverse range of accessories, some of which have nothing to do with power delivery and extend into the realm of controllers, external storage and even wireless earbuds that can be kept on the back of one's handset instead.
The new Samsung Magnetic Wallet is arguably not at that level, however. Its minimal design is unprepossessing, especially compared to more interesting, multi-purpose designs such as this one from PopSockets with the brand's signature collapsible grip, or ESR's HaloLock Geo Wallet Stand.
Their new Samsung rival is also only available in black and holds perhaps 2 to 3 cards. Then again, its top edge is thoughtfully moulded around the top of its magnetic ring so as to avoid blocking the rear cameras of the Galaxy S25 line-up, particularly the highest-end S25 Ultra with the most rear-facing lenses.
It should also facilitate the series' Qi 2.1 spec, which, also underwhelmingly, cannot work without external magnets.
On the brighter side, Samsung is currently selling the Magnetic Wallet at $14.99 rather than its recommended retail price of $29.99.
