Astract Japan has introduced a tiny wireless mouse, the CapacMouse Pro. It has a design similar to a car key and doesn't come with a scroll wheel. Instead, it has something that the company calls MagicWheel, which is pressure-sensitive.

The CapacMouse Pro has made its official debut. At the core, it's a tiny wireless mouse that ditches the traditional scroll wheel. Instead, it comes with what the company calls MagicWhell, which appears to be pressure-sensitive. That is, the scroll-wheel-replacement button can emulate traditional wheel input according to how hard it is pressed.

This removal of the mouse wheel is probably one of the reasons why the CapacMouse Pro was able to achieve a size that's similar to a car key. What's rather interesting is that even with such a size, there are two side buttons. There are four LED buttons as well. They are there to show the DPI or scroll sensitivity level.

Given the small size of the mouse and 30 grams of weight, the CapacMouse Pro doesn't come with a large-sized battery. It has a rated capacity of 180 mAh, but on the bright side, the wireless mouse is advertised for up to 30 hours of use. Connectivity-wise, it can operate in the 2.4 GHz or Bluetooth modes, and there's no mention of a wired mode.

Now, while the 2.4 GHz mode sounds great in terms of latency, this wouldn't be the ideal mouse for gaming (Logitech G305 curr. $30.99 on Amazon). The non-traditional size, paired with the 30 IPS tracking speed, makes it quite an unideal option for accurate and responsive inputs. However, the specs appear to be good enough for day-to-day use and office tasks.

As for the price, Astract Japan plans to sell the CapacMouse Pro at 7,680 JPY, which is about $50. It's currently on crowdfunding, going for an early bird pricing of 5,370 JPY, around $35. There's no word on whether this tiny wireless mouse will see a global debut, but the chances of that happening are slim as the predecessor, CapacMouse Neo, didn't see an international launch.
