OnePlus Magnetic Power Bank 5000mAh arrives as new slim accessory
The OnePlus Magnetic Power Bank 5000mAh is now available in China. The model is almost identical to the Oppo Magnetic Power Bank 5000mAh, which was also recently launched in this country.
The OnePlus Power Bank, like the Oppo model, offers a wireless charging pad at the front and a USB-C port on one side, allowing you to charge two devices simultaneously. Unfortunately, the product listing does not indicate the maximum power of either output. The 5,000mAh battery is also recharged via the USB-C port, with the remaining battery level indicated by four integrated LEDs. Plus, there are safety features such as temperature monitoring and protection against short circuits and overvoltage.
The Magnetic Power Bank has the same measurements as the Oppo accessory, 96 x 69 x 8.8 mm (~3.8 x 2.7 x 0.3 inches). It is a particularly thin model; for comparison, the Anker 621 Magnetic Portable Charger (MagGo) (curr. $29.74. at Amazon) is 11 mm (~0.45 inches) thick. The only difference between the OnePlus and Oppo models appears to be the casing. The OnePlus has a darker finish, named Extreme Silver Gray. Like the Oppo version, the OnePlus Magnetic Power Bank 5000mAh is priced at CNY 149 (~$21). The company has not announced plans to roll out this product in other markets.
