We reported last month that the 65-inch Samsung S90C OLED TV had dropped to its lowest price ever of $1,299.99 at Best Buy. The price drop presented a good opportunity to snag a highly rated OLED TV. However, folks who were holding out for an even bigger discount are in luck as the Samsung S90C price has now reached a new all-time low.
The Samsung S90C OLED TV is now retailing for $999.96 on Amazon and is also available for a similar price at Best Buy. The price is $300 lower than the previous record-low and is a whopping 50% less than the list price. What’s more, if you don’t mind driving to a Micro Center store, you can get the TV for only $899.99. Keep in mind that availability will vary by location.
Samsung S90C shines in picture quality and gaming
The Samsung S90C OLED TV caters to both movie/show watchers and gamers with features like super-high brightness, a 144 Hz refresh rate, and a near-instantaneous response time. It's for these reasons that RTINGS gave the TV a “Mixed Usage” rating of 9.0.
The Samsung S90C scored particularly high in “Video Games” and “HDR Gaming” in RTINGS' review. Key reasons for this were the high HDR brightness of over 1,000 nits (Peak 2% Window) that is retained in Game Mode, Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), a super quick response time, and a low input lag.
The Samsung S90C OLED also excels in color reproduction with almost complete coverage of the DCI-P3 gamut and impressive color volume. Combined with OLED’s infinite contrast, the 65-inch Samsung S90C should display both HDR and SDR rather well.
Put simply, the 65-inch Samsung S90C OLED TV on sale is a mouth-watering value at only $999.99 considering the tech on offer.
