Zens Wireless Charger transforms a conventional socket into a Qi2 charger with USB-C port
The latest Qi2 charger from Zens is aimed at users who do not have space for a charging pad, but don't want to use charging cables either. The charger puts the Qi2 charging coil directly in front of the socket and is compact enough so as not to block neighboring sockets.
The charger can hold Qi2-compatible devices magnetically and charge them wirelessly with up to 15 watts. Currently, only Apple iPhones from iPhone 12 upwards and the HMD Skyline are officially compatible with Qi2. Android smartphones with Qi support for which MagSafe cases are available, such as the Google Pixel 9 Pro or the Samsung Galaxy S24, can also be charged, but only with the 7.5 watts allowed by the first-generation Qi standard.

A practical aspect is that the USB-C port is located on the underside of the Qi2 charger, which can be used to charge devices via cable with up to 18 watts, meaning that two devices can effectively be charged at the same time without the need for a second charger. The charger comes in either white or black. Zens further highlights that wireless charging also works when the smartphone is in a case, as long as this case is compatible with MagSafe or Qi2 and is no thicker than 3 millimetres.
Price and availability
